About Ruskirab-DSR Capsule
RUSKIRAB-DSR capsules combine rabeprazole 20 mg, which reduces stomach acid, with domperidone 30 mg in sustained-release form, which helps the stomach empty faster. It is used to treat gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), relieving heartburn, acid regurgitation, bloating and nausea.
Take one capsule on an empty stomach, about an hour before your first meal, exactly as your doctor prescribes. Common side effects include headache, diarrhoea and dry mouth. It must not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and because domperidone can affect heart rhythm, tell your doctor about any heart problems and every other medicine you take.
Therapy category: Gastrointestinal care.
Uses of Ruskirab-DSR Capsule
- Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), including heartburn and acid regurgitation
- Indigestion with bloating, fullness and nausea
Benefits of Ruskirab-DSR Capsule
Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
In GERD, stomach acid flows back into the food pipe, causing heartburn and irritation. Rabeprazole lowers acid production, relieving symptoms and allowing the food pipe to heal, while domperidone helps food move through the stomach faster, reducing the backflow of acid. Your doctor will decide how long you need to take it; do not stop or continue it without their advice.
Indigestion with bloating and nausea
Domperidone helps the stomach empty more quickly, easing bloating, early fullness, nausea and upper abdominal discomfort, while rabeprazole reduces acid-related pain.
Side effects of Ruskirab-DSR Capsule
Most side effects are mild and settle as your body adjusts. Tell your doctor if they continue or worry you.

How to take Ruskirab-DSR Capsule
Take this medicine in the dose and for the length of time your doctor advises. Swallow the capsule whole on an empty stomach, about an hour before your first meal. Do not chew, crush or open it.
How Ruskirab-DSR Capsule works
RUSKIRAB-DSR combines two medicines. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that blocks the pumps in the stomach lining that produce acid. Domperidone is a prokinetic that increases the movement of the stomach and intestines, helping food pass through faster and reducing reflux, bloating and nausea. The sustained-release form releases domperidone gradually through the day.
