About Siliram-Max Suspension

SILIRAM-MAX is a liver support nutritional suspension. Each 5 ml contains silymarin 35 mg (from milk thistle), L-ornithine L-aspartate 150 mg and tricholine citrate 275 mg, with vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12. It is used as supportive care in liver conditions such as fatty liver, alongside the treatment your doctor recommends.

Shake the bottle well and take the dose your doctor or dietician advises with the measuring cup, at the same times each day. It is usually well tolerated, though mild stomach upset or diarrhoea can occur. It supports, but does not replace, treatment of the cause of liver disease, so avoid alcohol and follow your doctor's advice.

Therapy category: Liver and nutritional support.

Uses of Siliram-Max Suspension

  • Supportive care in liver disease, including fatty liver
  • Vitamin B-complex support in people with liver conditions

Benefits of Siliram-Max Suspension

Supportive care in liver disease

Silymarin is an antioxidant from milk thistle that has been studied for protecting liver cells, although results in liver disease have been mixed. L-ornithine L-aspartate supplies amino acids the liver uses to clear ammonia, a waste product that can build up when the liver is not working well. Tricholine citrate supplies choline, which the liver needs to process fat. Your doctor can advise whether it is suitable alongside your other treatment.

Vitamin B-complex support

Liver disease often reduces appetite and the body's stores of B vitamins. Each 5 ml provides the daily recommended amount of vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12, which the body needs to turn food into energy and keep nerves healthy.

Side effects of Siliram-Max Suspension

Most side effects are mild and settle as your body adjusts. Tell your doctor if they continue or worry you.

  • Diarrhoea or loose stools
  • Nausea, bloating or wind
  • Abdominal pain
  • Tiredness
  • Itching or rash (rare allergic reaction)

How to take Siliram-Max Suspension

Shake the bottle well before use. Take the dose your doctor or dietician advises using the measuring cup provided, at the same times each day. Keep the cap tightly closed and store below 25°C, away from light and moisture.

How Siliram-Max Suspension works

Silymarin, taken from milk thistle seeds, is an antioxidant that is thought to help protect liver cells from toxins. L-ornithine L-aspartate provides two amino acids that the liver uses to convert ammonia into urea, which the body then removes. Tricholine citrate supplies choline, which the liver uses to move fat out of its cells. The B vitamins help replace nutrients that are often low in liver disease.
